We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Senior Management Team to lead business development and fundraising activity that secures the bureau’s long-term sustainability and income growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key strategic role in strengthening and expanding our services, ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality, accessible advice to those who need it most.
What we do
Dundee Citizens Advice Bureau is an independent local charity and a member of the Scottish Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux. We provide free, confidential and impartial advice to people across Dundee, as well as Tayside and Scotland through national project delivery.
We support people to resolve problems, understand their rights and improve their lives. We are committed to equality, inclusion and the delivery of high-quality, nationally accredited advice.
What you’ll do
- Lead and deliver a strategic fundraising programme to diversify income and strengthen financial resilience
- Identify and secure new income streams including grants, donations and unrestricted funding
- Build, manage and develop strong relationships with funders, stakeholders and partners
- Represent the bureau externally to promote our work, raise our profile and build networks
- Play a key role in shaping the bureau’s future fundraising approach and sustainability
- Lead on securing ongoing funding to support the continuation of the post and the bureau’s long-term sustainability.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in securing charitable funding and/or business development
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to produce high-quality funding proposals and marketing materials
- Strong organisational skills with a collaborative, proactive approach
- Commitment to the aims and values of the Citizens Advice Bureau
