We need enthusiastic local people with a range of skills and experience to join our management board.  As part of this team you will be responsible for the strategic management of the bureau.

Dundee Citizens Advice Bureau is a member of the Scottish Association of Citizens Advice Bureau, the nationwide network of independent advice agencies.  We offer free, independent, confidential, impartial information and advice from our main bureau in Central Library, Wellgate Centre, Dundee and at various outreach locations throughout the city.

The Bureau's aims are:

To ensure that people do not suffer through lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities or of the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs effectively.

To exercise a responsible influence on the development of social policy and services both local and nationally.

As a member of the Board of Trustees you will be expected to:

Attend Board meetings (approximately 5 each year, normally early weekday evenings at the bureau office).

Support our Bureau team of volunteers and staff

Help set the Bureau's strategy, policies and project plans.

Experience required:  Committed to the aims and principles of the Bueau.  Able to think creatively and exercise good, independent judgement.  Able to work effectively as a member of a team.  Able to understand and accept the responsibility of being a trustee and employer.  We are particularly looking at the moment for people with an interest in business planning and finance, however, if you have other skills and experience you can offer us, we would love to hear from you.
